TINA LA TORTUGA

Tina is the name we gave to a turtle we swam with for over an hour while on a trip in the Philippines in 2019. We wanted to represent her in one of our art pieces with a heart as its shell to symbolize the feelings of love, protection, and stability she gave us while meeting her. The heart symbolizes love and emotion, while Tina’s shell represents protection and stability. Tina’s slow and steady pace really gave us a feeling of persistence and determination.
